Gary L. Jones, M.D., Ph.D., is a neurologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (i.e., Board Certified). Dr. Jones practices general neurology, providing services in epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, migraine, numbness, weakness, neck and back pain, and all disorders affecting the nervous system.

Luciana DeSaibro, M.D., is a neurologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (i.e., Board Certified).  Dr. DeSaibro practices general neurology, but has specialized training in Neuromuscular Neurology.  She is also Board Certified by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology.  As a neuromuscular specialist Dr. DeSaibro has special expertise not only in diseases that affect the peripheral motor systems, but the peripheral sensory systems and neurodegenerative syndromes that express themselves predominantly as neuromuscular (and sensory) disease.  Examples include ALS,  Guillain-Barre syndrome, polymyositis, myasthenia gravis, various neuropathies (motor, sensory, and sensorimotor), etc.. Dr. DeSaibro uses EMG (a form of electrodiagnostic testing) heavily in her efforts to diagnose the above and other diseases of the periperal nervous system.

Barry Fleischer, D.O. is a neurologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (i.e., Board Certified).  Dr. Fleischer practices general neurology, but has special interests, training and experience in epilepsy and sleep disorders.

John G. Schmidt, M.D. is a neurologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (i.e., Board Certified).  Dr. Schmidt practices general neurology but has special interests, training and experience in stroke, pain, and neurohabilitation.  He is also certified by the American Society of Neurorehabilitation.

Dr. Jones restricts his practice to adult neurology, while Drs. DeSaibro, Fleischer and Schmidt practice both adult and pediatric neurology. All of our neurologists are on staff at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. 

Figure 1: EEG electrodes and monitoring areaThe fully equipped epilepsy center (Figure 1, left) has state-of-the-art routine and video EEG telemetry for difficult seizure disorders, with certified technologists to provide the most accurate testing available.

The neuromuscular lab includes electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction testing equipment that will permit the full range of electrodiagnostic methods to be applied to the diagnosis of conditions causing numbness, weakness, and/or pain.

The sleep laboratory is a new high technology facility that permits the accurate diagnosis of sleep related breathing disorders, and other disorders associated with sleep.
