Snow Canyon Clinic Pulmonary Medicine Staff
Carl P. Hallenborg, M.D., F.C.C.P. Dr. Hallenborg is an esteemed pulmonary physician who earned his M.D. at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and Internal Medicine Residency at the Queen’s Medical Center in Hawaii, where he also served a fourth year as “Chief Resident” in Internal Medicine.Dr. Hallenborg then went on to serve a two year Pulmonary Research Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, where he served yet another year in a Pulmonary Clinical Fellowship. Dr. Hallenborg subsequently trained in Sleep Disorders at the Stanford School of Sleep Medicine. Dr, Hallenborg is thus Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. During this period of training Dr. Hallenborg also found time to serve his Country as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Navy. He has had numerous academic appointments, and rose in rank to Associate Professor. Dr. Hallenborg is a member of numerous medical societies including Fellow, American College of Chest Physicians, and member of the American Board of Sleep Medicine, and others. He has been the recipient of many grants and awards and has numerous publications, including peer reviewed scientific journal articles, chapters, abstracts, and paper presentations. He is an avid speaker, and he has a passion for bridging the gap between the laboratory and the clinic. Dr. Hallenborg remains intellectually very active, and has brought to Snow Canyon Clinic the most advanced technology for cardiopulmonary testing available in Southern Utah; and he was personally responsible for the scientific underpinnings of much of this technology. Dr. Hallenborg has a passion for quality patient care and he is currently accepting new patients. |
