Scott D. Flamm, M.D.
Scott D. Flamm, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist with special training and expertise in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CVMRI). He completed his M.D. training as well as his Internal Medicine internship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C..
He completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, Los
Angeles, and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging/MRI at the University of California, San Francisco. He has contributed significantly to research, especially in the field of CVMRI, and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, book chapters and
reviews. He is also sought after as a speaker for various medical and scientific forums.
Dr. Flamm has won numerous awards and is, or has been on the editorial boards of the journals Circulation, Radiology, the Texas Heart Institute Journal, and others. He served as the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator for many extramural grants at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, Texas Heart Institute, and at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Flamm's major present appointment is as Head of Cardiovascular Imaging at Cleveland Clinic. Dr Flamm is licensed to practice in Utah and is an Associate member of the physician staff at Snow Canyon Clinic (SCC). He interprets all cardiovascular MRI and CT studies done at SCC.
